China Business Event Industry Committee was invited to participate in the 16th IT&CM CHINA Travel Fair and CTW CHINA during March 21-23, 2023. This is the first time of IT&CM China back offline three years after the outbreak. China Business Event Industry Committee has been supporting professional trade fairs in the industry for many years. Vice Chairman Alicia Yao actively maintained dialogue with the industry, led 30 industry buyers to participate in the IT&CM CHINA Travel Fair, and successfully presided over the opening forum in person and the April online forum. Actively provide training and supply and matching services for the Chinese MICE market.
For the opening forum, Alicia Yao invited Mr. Yao Xin, Secretary General of Commercial sub council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Ms. Liu Songping, President of the Guangdong Exhibition Association, Mr. Ren Guoyan, Secretary general of the Exhibition Committee of the Yangtze River Delta Urban Economic Coordination Association, and Mr. Lin Yu, vice president of Shanghai Jinjiang Tourism Holdings Co., LTD., as speakers.
The theme of the forum is: International Competitiveness of the Business Event industry: Trends in international MICE standards.
Mr. Yao Xin, Secretary-General, introduced the efforts made by the Commercial sub council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in the formulation of standardization over the years, and explained with facts that standards are the technical support for economic activities and social development, and are an important aspect of the basic system of the country. When we are in the VUCA era, a world of variability, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity, the height we are standing determines the landscape we can see, life is the same, and the MICE industry international standardized insight and exploration is even more the same.
Mr. Liu Songping, President of Guangdong Exhibition Association, Mr. Ren Guoyan, Secretary General of Exhibition Committee of Yangtze River Delta Urban Economic Coordination Committee, Mr. Lin Yu, Vice president of Shanghai Jinjiang Tourism Holding Co., Ltd. and Mr. Yao Xin successively discussed how standardization can promote high-quality development of exhibition, how to practice "green exhibition" to build a new pattern of exhibition in Guangdong, and how to improve the management of exhibition enterprises through standardization. The impact of standardization on exhibition education, and the role of standardization in the management of exhibition activities in cost control and quality assurance.
During the discussion, the "Net Zero Carbon Pledge for the Events Industry" issued and jointly signed by JMIC in 2021 was introduced. The new initiative was launched by JMIC members UFI, AIPC and ICCA, and is supported by Emerald Expositions (US), Freeman (US), HKCEC(China), Informa (UK), Javits Center (US), MCI(Switzerland), Joined by representatives of Messe Munchen (Germany), RX(UK) and Scottish Event Parks (UK), it was born out of discussions with and is supported by the UNFCCC Secretariat. To achieve this commitment, by the end of 2023 at the latest, the organization (associations, exhibition companies, exhibition centers, conference hotels) will design and publish a path to net zero by 2050, where the interim target is consistent with the Paris Agreement's requirement to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030.
The discussion concluded by calling on the conference's peers to join in the development and practice of standardization and green exhibition standards in China's exhibition industry, as well as the activities of the international "Net zero carbon Commitment in the event industry". Let us use standardization to enhance the resilience of organizational survival to cope with the crisis of survival and development.

In 2018 China Congress of Association and Chamber of Commerce ( CCACC) was sponsored by the Commercial sub Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Commercial Chamber of Commerce of the China Chamber of International Commerce, and held its first inaugural congress under the support of the "China Social Organization" magazine co-sponsored by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China, the China Association for Non - profit Organization(CANPO)and the China Social Organization Newspaper. CCACC is co-organized by the China Business Event Industry Committee and IME Consulting Co., LTD. It is an exchange platform for international and domestic association executives and managers, association conference and event organizers, local government leaders, conference & exhibition bureau, Bureau of Commerce and association conference and exhibition related industry professionals. The conference holds a salon every two months for the MICE industry.
As an indispensable part of the market economy system and the "barometer" of economic development, the CCACC actively promotes the innovation and development of enterprises, plays an important role as a bridge and bond in stabilizing economic operation, and plays a unique role in optimizing the industrial chain, promoting the coordinated development of industries, and forming and improving the ecosystem.
